Thomson Reuters has partnered with Remote Sensing Metrics to provide a unique dataset that blends traditional same stores sales data with quantitative analysis of data from high-resolution satellite imagery. The Thomson Reuters Same Store Sales (SSS) Plus report monitors the year-on-year growth rates of major US retailers, measured according to locations operating for at least one year. As we have found that parking lot traffic is highly correlative with SSS, the report takes SSS analysis to the next level by including mall traffic data.
