Anchor started out almost four decades ago as a small business venture. In the years to come it experienced massive growth and in 2007 become a subsidiary of Panasonic Electric Works (PEW) which acquired 80% of its shares. Today Anchor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation which boasts worldwide leadership in the development and manufacturing of electric products for a wide range of consumer, business and industrial needs. It has a strong operating base with two third of the company’s total sales generation by products that hold the largest share in the Japanese market.
