Bangalore: The current job market is very tough. And it is a fact that only the toughest survive and the lazy ones fail in this environment. It has become essential for every aspiring individual to be proactive, make their own opportunities and carve their own destiny to be successful in life. In such demanding conditions, choosing a college degree that maximizes your job opportunities and avoiding the ones with lowest employment rates can be quite beneficial. Remember success is in your hand, as is your failure.

Here is a list of college degrees that can have a negative impact on your career and ruin your future, as reported by Caitlin Dewey on Yahoo website.

1. Anthropology:

Anthropology is the science of humanity, i.e. it is the study of humans, past and present. An anthropologist basically studies the origin and evolution of Homo sapiens (i.e. humans), human behavior, human physical traits, organization of human cultural and social relations, variations among different groups of humans, how the evolutionary past of humans has influenced our cultural and social organization, and so on.

Though anthropology majors offers intellectually exciting courses, prepares students for excellent jobs and opens doors for various career paths, the fact is that job opportunities and success in this field are forged by the individual and not by the program that one follows in the college. Presently, anthropology grads face stifling unemployment, forcing nearly one third to take low paying sales or office jobs. Although this field offers great job satisfaction for an individual deeply interested in knowing the cultural and social aspects of human society, it remains one of the hardest career options where in only the creamy layer is expected to survey and earn a living.

Now or later they will get their own/dream work...please do not discourage people with these kinds of articles...Thanks
