Bangalore: With the boom of the social networking sites in the recent years. It is seen that over 800 million people have created profiles on Facebook, over 462 million users are there in Twitter and 136 millions in Linkedin. According to Elite Resumes, Facebook was launched eight years ago in February 2004, and is considered as the most used social networking site. In Canada more than 50 percent of the population has a Facebook account. As seen in the last six months Facebook users in Canada have increased by 590, 960. It is noted that the site has gradually become popular among the people in the past eight years, as most of us are influenced in a matter of time by others to join the popular social networking site and follow the other 800 million people in Facebook.

Next comes Twitter in the list of the most popular networking site. This influential site was created and launched in the year 2006. In no time the site was successful in gaining prominence among majority of people globally. The easy to use site is considered as a real time resource as it has emerged as the hot favorite for individuals who have noticed it's potential.

The professional site LinkedIn with over 136 million subscribers provides resources to network and connect with professionals around the world. Linkedin is also considered as an ultimate job search tool and it is also followed by several companies for job listings. It creates a platform to connect with decision makers worldwide.

Although social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin are no longer a fashion or a craze it is continuing to be a main resource in the successful management of any business organization or career. While there is no chance of being a leader in subscribing these sites, however, you are sure to be benefited from being a follower as you can discover the advantages of online networking.
