Do Women make Good Managers?
Women make
42% of labor force.
51% of management professional and related occupation.
14% of fortune 500 executive officers.
15% of fortune 500 board seat.
7% of fortune 500 top earners.
2% of fortune 500 CEOs.

Women make up half the workforce, but only 2% of CEOs. So does it mean that they are not good in managing.

Women are not necessarily better managers than men; nor are men necessarily better than women. There are many reasons why women are capable of managing people better than a man can. This doesn't mean that women are better managers, though. Many managers (men) are lazy, complacent, and unaware. If the implication from the article is that women are better managers because more of them are attending college, it is sorely misguided. Certainly, tools for managing more effectively and efficiently are learned there; maybe even honed to some extent. This is true for men and women though. The notion and realization of better managers is based upon many things, including perspective, and there is much truth to this.

Women can be a good manager than the men. They can handled the any type of situations very well. Women are more responsible, good at communication with others. A women thinks through different dimensions, she has her own view point and do listen to others precisely. All the qualities are more important for a good manager. So I agree with the point that, women make good managers.

Yes I strongly say that women can manage well than men. The only difference between men and women is their physical strength. Men are more physically strong than women. When an organisation is concerned, it is not a matter of physical strength, but of a mental strength.

If a women can manage a nation why can't she manage an organisation.

Eg: Pratibha Patil, kalpana chawala, indra gandhi.
